Stevenage, 18th May, 2023 – Kadans Science Partner (Kadans), the European leader in developing science and technology real estate, today announces the launch of Sycamore House, a new laboratory and office facility for innovative, high-growth life science companies and Kadans’ first completed development in the UK. By adding Sycamore House to the portfolio, Kadans is furthering its goal to create one strong knowledge-sharing ecosystem of science parks across Europe. Their portfolio now comprises over 45 buildings and numerous projects under development in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany and Spain. The official opening of Sycamore House will take place on 18 May, 2023 and will be attended by over 100 life science leaders. Steve Bates OBE, CEO of UK BioIndustry Association is the master of ceremonies for the evening and Rob Shaw, Chief of Staff at Innovate UK will provide the keynote address. Leaders from supporting partners Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst and Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult will also feature in the programme.
rton House is a best-in-class laboratory developed by Kadans Science Partner. Due to be completed in Q3 2023, Barton House will add an additional building to Abingdon Science Park. Upon completion, Barton House will provide 25,600 sq ft of purpose-built laboratory accommodation for researchers to strengthen their skills – located in the heart of this established science and technology cluster. Tailor-made facilities for organisations Barton House laboratory development can be offered as a Cat A product or as a fully bespoke, fitted laboratory and office accommodation for various organisations. Kadans´ in-house design team can support you in designing and delivering your new laboratory for your research.
The Innovation Centre is the perfect location for opportunities and collaboration. It provides flexible, fully serviced CL2 wet-lab laboratory spaces for innovators interested in opportunities and growth which can range in size from 200 sq ft to 5,000+ sq ft as well as office accommodation, ancillary meeting rooms and breakout space. The Innovation Centre also contains shared lab facilities, where leasing a single bench is also possible for organisations that don’t have a need for a big lab space for their workspace yet. The Innovation Centre benefits from access to shared equipment facilities including autoclaves, glass wash, -80 freestanding freezer and on-floor LN2 storage as well as an in-house Lab Technician to support collaboration and your growth. We have 20+ years of experience

Founded in the 1990s, the specialisation of Kadans Science Partner truly began with the 2009 acquisition of BioPartner Center Wageningen, an organisation established in 2000 to support the valorisation of fundamental research conducted at the Wageningen University & Research Campus, marking our first multi-tenant buildings for start-ups, scale-ups and corporate R&Ds. Since then, we have curated a much wider offering that is built for innovation. In 2010, Kadans Science Partner was founded to reflect this evolution, expanding our development focus to knowledge intensive real estate investments in the Netherlands. Kadans now operates as an international leader in the UK, Germany, Belgium, France, and most recently Spain, servicing over 400 clients within 27 science clusters in 6 countries.

Backed by AXA IM – Real Assets since 2020, our network continues to grow as we develop more locations and support more science clusters across Europe. Our market pioneering approach reflects Kadans’ objective to become the European HUB for all stakeholders in the life sciences sector in the near future.
