James Sheppard
James is Managing Director for the UK & Ireland at Kadans Science Partner.
James joined Kadans from Cushman & Wakefield where he was Head of Life Sciences. James brings significant life science experience to Kadans, having worked on some of Europe’s largest and most advanced centres for life science innovation such as The Francis Crick Institute and Imperial College’s White City Campus. James has supported a large number of organisations, both public and private in the development of their life science strategy and will bring this extensive knowledge to Kadans to deliver new projects and support Kadans growing tenant base.
With his experience, James has gained valuable insight and technical knowledge, enabling him to help Kadans to further strengthen the support of its tenants and bring forward new projects.

Asset & Investment Management
Katie Nelson
Katie is Senior Asset Manager for the UK & Ireland at Kadans Science Partner.
Katie joined Kadans from Cushman & Wakefield where she had been for close to 9 years. Starting at Cushman & Wakefield as an Apprentice, Katie has gained a wide range of experience throughout her career. Before joining Kadans, Katie was a highly regarded agent within the South East Office Market. Katie specialised in Tenant representation whilst in the South East Agency Team whilst also serving investor/landlord clients.
Katie is regarded as an Occupier specialist which is a great addition to Kadans’ expertise and she will work to make our assets occupier-ready. Katie is responsible for the leasing of the UK & Ireland portfolio, tenant engagement and managing of our Ecosystem Services.

Claudia Tripp
Claudia is a Commercial Asset Manager for the UK & Ireland.
Claudia joined Kadans from Network Rail where she was an Asset Manager responsible for managing a mixed-use portfolio throughout London and the South East. Claudia focused on delivering real estate solutions to help tenants succeed.
Prior to this Claudia worked at Cushman & Wakefield in their Central London Occupier Representation team. Claudia specialised in advising tenants on their real estate strategy focusing on office acquisitions, lease re-gears and renewals.

Léon Mehtab
Léon is a Junior Asset Manager at Kadans for the UK and Ireland.
Before joining Kadans, Léon worked for 2 and a half years in the Property and Asset Management department at Strettons. There, he managed a mixed-use portfolio for institutions, property companies and private investors. Léon specialised in providing strategic advice to maximise the value of his clients’ investments and ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations. At Kadans, Léon leverages his expertise to support the strategic management and growth of the company’s UK and Ireland portfolio.
Léon is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Derbhla McMullan
Derbhla joined Kadans as an Investment Analyst supporting the UK & Ireland team on transactions and financial services.
Derbhla developed a passion for the R&D and knowledge intensive sector while studying for her MEng in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. Upon graduating, Derbhla gained experience in Private Equity working in Goldman Sachs and Thor Equities where she was exposed to real estate acquisitions across a range of sectors and geographies. Derbhla hopes to leverage these experiences in real estate investing alongside her first-hand exposure to the R&D industry to further Kadans growing presence across Europe.

Property Management
Mark Hanna
Mark is the Head of Property at Kadans for the UK and Ireland.
Mark is a Chartered Surveyor and joined from Bruntwood where he was their Head of Property Management. Mark has experience in core property and facilities management activities as well as procurement, supplier management, ESG and Sustainability. Prior to Bruntwood, Mark worked at CBRE in Dubai and in the UK managing properties for Pension Funds and Developers.
As well as being active with the RICS, Mark also sits on APC Assessment Panels and is a APC Mentor offering support to internal and external candidates.
Mark has a passion for delivering transformation change and excellence across our property teams in the UK.

Daniela Mihai
Daniela joined the Kadans team in 2021. Daniela is Property Manager within Kadans Science Partner and is responsible for the technical property management of our building in Stevenage, Sycamore House. Daniela brings a number of years of experience in building management after managing a number of high profile buildings in the UK before joining Kadans.

Rudi Verhaak
Rudi works for Kadans Science Partner as Property Manager in the United Kingdom. He has over 35 years of experience in the sector. Starting with financial services, then in representation and then responsible for managing a mixed property portfolio across the UK and abroad. He was also Head of Property for Randstad UK and Head of Fleet & Facilities at VolkerWessels UK.

Eric Katz
Eric ‘Rick’ Katz comes to his role as Laboratory Manager at Kadans Science Partner with a wealth of experience in the UK and USA in facilities, lab management and as an SME.
Rick is a problem solver and a committed team player. His 25 years of professional experience spans a variety of industries including Defence, Manufacturing, Food and Bio Medical.

Grzegorz 'Greg' Szewczyk
Grzegorz “Greg” Szewczyk joined Kadans from Autolus, where he was Instrument & Controls Technician II. He is a well-humoured, practical and pragmatic team player with over 20 years of professional experience in logistics, banking and biotechnology. He is well-known for his problem-solving and coordinating skills.

Development
Edward Joslin
Edward is Development Director for the UK & Ireland. Edward joined Kadans from Kennedy Wilson where he was a Senior Development Manager. Edward brings a wealth of construction experience to Kadans with delivery expertise in complex construction projects, from feasibility to completion in a variety of sectors in the UK. Edward has delivered projects for both the public and private sectors from the client as well as developer side.
Edward brings his in-depth knowledge of acquisition, building and tenant requirements into the design and construction elements including optimisation of internal work spaces.

James Dawson
James is Development Manager for the UK & Ireland bringing with him a wealth of experience gained across Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial and Logistics. James is delighted to be moving back into the Healthcare space with Kadans, having previously acted as a client-side Project Manager for CVS Veterinary Group PLC.
Putting the end-user at the heart of everything he does, James provides end-to-end project delivery experience, having delivered both new-build and refurbishment programmes. Continually striving to improve both quality and value, James is excited to help build the Kadans footprint in the UK and build strong bonds with suppliers, partners and clients alike.

Will Fogden
Will is Senior Development Manager for the UK & Ireland at Kadans Science, working collaboratively with the Commercial Team in the identification and acquisition of new projects.
Leading on design and delivery of innovative technical spaces, Will is personable and engaging when assimilating stakeholder requirements, bringing a holistic approach to the life-cycle of the development process.

Oliver Reback
Oliver is an Assistant Development Manager at Kadans for the UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining Kadans Oliver was ga raduate project manager at AECOM where he specialised in the science sector, working on the design and fit-out of bespoke laboratories, as well as the construction of space technology testing facilities.
Oliver places great emphasis on clear and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure end-user requirements are not only met but exceeded. By always considering the bigger picture, Oliver is able to identify opportunities for improvements to add value to his projects.

Ecosystem
Mairi Dillon
Mairi is Ecosystem Manager for the UK & Ireland at Kadans Science Partner.
Mairi has a wealth of experience in early stage tech fundraising, project management and outward facing relationship building (public and private sector). She began her career in major government sponsored infrastructure projects before moving into the innovation and entrepreneurship landscape. As Head of Operations for a venture capital backed bio-tech start-up, she gained broad business experience bringing a product to market and fundraising both in the UK and abroad. Through her recent roles within the Catapult Network, Smart Specialisation Hub and Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network, Mairi has built a deep understanding of how to link the research, commercial and investment worlds.

Hospitality
Mohima Chowdhury
Mohima joined Kadans in 2023 as a Front of House Manager at our London Innovation Centre at 20 Water Street, Canary Wharf.
Mohima has worked for various companies in the NHS and local councils. She has very strong and positive customer service skills and has many years of experience with customers from all levels and backgrounds. Mohima has experience in busy environments and is known for her friendly customer service and problems solving skills.
Mohima will play a key role in contributing to our ecosystem at our London Innovation Centre. She will support all our growing businesses with their front of house duties and make sure they are welcomed and supported.
She will be managing all our common areas, meeting rooms and pass access controls. Mohima is a key contact for our tenants on the ground as well as the wider team.

Jude Quinn
Jude worked in the reception team at Sycamore House in Stevenage from the start. She has since joined the Kadans Science Partner team.

Sammie Peel
Sammie joined the Kadans team in 2021. Sammie works as the Team Secretary at Kadans Science Partner London office. Sammie brings a number of years of experience as a secretary and PA. Sammie knows all the ins and outs of the UK organisation.

Ellena Regan
Ellena is the Marketing and Events Manager for the UK & Ireland at Kadans Science Partner.
Before joining Kadans, Ellena worked at a global gasses company on marketing, communications, events and business improvement projects, across the Healthcare, Scientific, Industrial and Hospitality sectors. Ellena also previously worked as an Events and Planning Manager at a creative agency. She holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degrees, majoring in Marketing, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Sociology and Employment Relations & Organisation Studies.
