Kadans adds three properties on West of Scotland Science Park to its Pan-European science park portfolio. The assets are acquired from Maven Capital (Paradigm Portfolio 1) LLP advised by Paradigm Property Consultants and Savills, comprising two multi-tenant and one single-tenant building, providing office and laboratory facilities. The properties are fully occupied and include strong and reputable tenants such as Merck, REPROCELL and Albany Molecular Research.
Scotland has one of the largest life sciences clusters in Europe – employing over 37,000 people in 700 organizations – contributing £4.2 billion gross value to the Scottish economy. The West of Scotland Science parks is a key cluster within Glasgow and comprises c. 40 companies across 23 properties. The science park benefits from leading research institutes and universities in close proximity, providing a natural inflow of skilled employees, facilities and collaboration opportunities. Kadans intends to complement these strengths by providing additional value add services, connectivity and expansion capital.
With the acquisition on West of Scotland Science Park, the Kadans portfolio now comprises 30 buildings and various projects under development in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain. Kadans aspires to partner with universities and organizations to create one strong knowledge-sharing ecosystem of science parks across Europe.
